JOIN BAND!
Many of the people you look up to (athletes, celebrities, family members, and more!) have been involved in music at some point. Not only does band allow you to learn something new that will stick with you for a lifetime, but it also opens many doors for new opportunities after high school!
"What if I don't have an instrument?" - We have you covered! Our school can rent you an instrument and works with both Popplers & Schmitt Music to get you what you need.
"I already turned my registration in. Can I still join?" - Yes! Email Ms. Anderson at ashlynn.anderson@k12.sd.us with your top three instrument choices/what you already know how to play.
"I don't have any experience, but I would like to try. Can I do this?" - Absolutely. Individual & group lessons are provided during the school day and any other time that you may want some extra practice.
I look forward to seeing you in the Fall!
*Starred activities are extra opportunities that students may participate in. These events have certain requirements for participation. Email for more details.

Elementary parents! Please have you or your student check the lost and found the next two days. It is overflowing with clothing, boots, shoes, snow gear. Everything will be donated to the Trojan Den after the last day.
Congratulations to Mason Neugebauer, senior at PHS, for being the recipient of a scholarship from Lifeserve Blood Center. He was selected because of his dedication to the HOSA blood drives put on each year and his selfless act of donating blood to save lives. At our May 8th blood drive, Mason hit the One Gallon mark for his donations!
Abbie Arneson, our local territorial representative for Lifeserve, said, "Mason is pretty incredible. In all honestly, I do not know if I have ever had a student graduate high school with having donated just over a Gallon with 9 pints of blood, which had the ability to help up 27 patients!!! It is amazing when you think about what he has accomplished before leaving high school and even more astonishing when you consider that only 3% of the population donates blood!"
Congratulations, Mason! Thank you for setting an example for not only your peers but current donors and potential donors everywhere! 🩸
