Unique After School Opportunity: A lot of you of you may know me!! My name is Tawni Greibel. I manage all the booking and parties with TNT’s Inflatables located in Dimock. Working with kids is honestly a passion of mine and I wouldn’t trade it for the world! I have seen the need for giving school aged kids something to do after school, while the parents are still working and TNT Inflatables is close to being fully operational. I am excited to announce that I will be offering a service for kids to come and hang out with me Monday through Thursday at TNT Inflatables in Dimock. We will be providing a safe place for kids to come and do homework, crafts, and jump! The program will consist of a reading/homework time for the first 15-20 minutes, snack/drink, and then play/jump and/or work on a craft project. We will have different activities for them each day!! ALL students will need to be picked up by 6pm! If you’re wanting to schedule them in advance for future days/weeks please message me to get your children on the list. We will be taking students on EARLY DISMISSALS from school as well. If this is an opportunity you’re wanting your children to participate in, please message me ASAP to get all the cost details and reserve your spot. It's concert season! Come support the MS & HS music students at their Fall Concert on November 29th at 7:00 PM. We will also have a brief Music Boosters meeting after the concert concludes to provide you all with more information about our department and Boosters. See you there!

The following students have been selected to the Elementary Festival Honor Choir which will be held February 9th, 2023 on the campus of SDSU. The 180 voice choir is selected by recorded auditions from over 700 4-5-6 students from across South Dakota. Parkston students selected this year are: Izzy Baumiller Kathryn Bialas Nora Shepardson CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Thank you to all of the parents and staff that made American Education Week a success! Thank you for the treats, signs, and notes of appreciation. Have a blessed Thanksgiving with family and friends.

Reminder: School is dismissed @ 1 PM today and there is No School for students tomorrow to allow for Teacher In-Service and Professional Development.

Reminder-- The winter sports meeting will be taking place tonight at 7:00pm in the Armory!!

On Monday, the HS choir students had a clinic session with Dr. Desmond from DWU. The students learned new singing techniques, different warmups, and worked on their concert music. It was a great experience for all of us!

The Welcome Home for the football team will take place today at 1:00 in the armory. All are welcome!!!

FALL FOOD DRIVE Update: 3rd, 4th, 5th take the lead! Final day to turn in donations is TOMORROW, November 10th. All collections stay local, and go to the food pantry. Thank you to all who have donated! We appreciate it!

If you would like to send a quick 10-15 second video to the Football Team to encourage them before the big game on Friday, you can send it to my email address Tony.Kinneberg@k12.sd.us These videos should be in standard type of video format so we can easily import all of them into one video. These videos need to be sent by Wednesday Evening 8:00 PM to get into the completed video. Go Trojans!!!!

Yesterday 18 FFA members competed in the District 4 Leadership Event competition in Mitchell in eight different events. The students have worked hard all fall long preparing for their contests, and a lot of hard work paid off last night! Results are posted below. Parliamentary Procedure (Ashlyn Tapio, Preston Mattheis, Ty Fink, Reese Reichert, Taylor Fink, Elliott Leischner) placed 4th. Ag Issues (Shelby Hohn, Grace Lindeman, Emily Walz, Kacy Goehring, Elle Goehring) placed 3rd, and are alternates to state. Conduct of Chapter Meetings/Junior Parliamentary Procedure (Gage Reichert, Hilary Polreis, Icis Muilenburg, Quayden Culbert, Brycen Bruening, Kahris Tapio, Elle Goehring) placed 2nd and Advanced to State! Ag Sales (Landon Weber) District Officer Candidate (Emily Walz) Creed Speaking (Hilary Polreis) placed 9th. Extemporaneous Speaking (Kacy Goehring) placed 1st and Advanced to State! Employability Skills (Kacy Goehring) placed 3rd and Advanced to State!

Parkston Elementary glow dance was a huge success Sunday afternoon with over 80 students in attendance to dance, run and glow the afternoon away! Thank you to Parkston PTO for sponsoring the free family event. Please watch out for more events like this! *If you would like to help create fun events for our students, please consider joining Parkston PTO. We are always looking for more ideas.

We will be hosting a Pep Rally for the Football Team on Thursday at 2:35 in the armory. All are welcome to attend! The team bus will depart at 6:45am on Friday morning to play in the Championship Game at 10:30! The Dome will open at 9:30 for fans to enter. Please see attached picture for more seating detail. Parkston will be considered the visiting team. A welcome home event is scheduled for Sunday at 1:00 in the armory to celebrate the football team's tremendous season!! All are welcome to attend! 4th Grade ecosystems are on display in the front Elementary display cases. Amazing projects with lots of details to look at. Great job to both classes, Mrs. Moke and Mrs. Meyer.

Today we kicked off the Fall Food Drive! Thanks to all who have brought in donations, we will collect items thru November 10th. GROUP 1 is in the lead for today!

This year PHS has added a new Career and Technical Student Organization: Educators Rising. This is a student group focusing on students who are interested in a career in education. Today 10 members of the PHS Ed Rising chapter attending a Learning Expo @ DWU. Members were able to connect with other students who have a passion for education. A great day celebrating education!
