South Dakota HOSA is looking for ONE MORE TEAM for the 2nd Annual Golf Classic held June 1 in Sioux Falls to raise money to help SD HOSA students pursue their dreams of being future health professionals. FIY: A new process for gift and card distribution for graduation. There will be a tote for every senior with their name on it that will be in the lobby for anyone wishing to distribute cards or gifts for seniors if you are unable to attend the graduation celebration in person.

The Buck Timmons' Memorial Track Meet is today!! Field events will start at 1:00, and we are moving the running events up to 2:00. IT's going to be a great day of competition!
CAN DRIVE! Cleaning up from a graduation party? Cleaning out the garage? We want your aluminum cans! A trailer will be at Parkston Food Center May 14th-21st collecting cans. All proceeds will help send FCCLA members to National Competition in Denver, CO this summer!
Just because school is almost out doesn't mean science ever stops! This week, the 6-12 Science Department has been busy testing chemical reaction rates, measuring bridge strength, learning ice cream chemistry, and building electrical circuits!
Congrats to the Ethan Parkston Girls Track and Field team! They were crowned SESD CHAMPIONS yesterday! They won the team title with 133 team points. Also, Congrats to Lauren Ziebart, Keeara Oakley, Morgan Maxwell, and Marissa Storm! They broke the school record in the Mile Relay with a time of 4:15.93!
Congrats to the boys' team as well. They earned 2nd place overall as a team with 116 points.
Another great culture day! The jamica punch was a hit but not so much the tres leches cake. Yarn dolls got a little extra flair today.
CONGRATULATIONS to all the students who performed at the Pops Concert tonight!! It was an incredible show. Everyone involved has a lot to be proud of!!

We had Day 1 of Culture Day in 6th grade Reading after finishing the book Esperanza Rising! We celebrated with tres leches cake, Jaimica punch, and making yarn dolls.
Congratulations to Cael Ryther, Gage Hohn, Evan Bartelt, and Kolter Kramer! Today at Howard Wood they broke the school record in the 4x400 meter relay and brought home 3rd place! Their record time was 3:32.20!
Kolter Kramer also improved his 400m record with a time of 50.07!
After a small delay, the Parkston FFA and Horticulture class Plant Sale is finally here! Stop in at the greenhouse and shop with us sometime before May 17th! Our inventory includes 4 packs, 4 inch pots, and hanging baskets! See the attached pictures for what we have! Greenhouse will be open for sure next Monday and Wednesday from 3:00-5:00, otherwise contact Miss Ackerman to set up an appointment to shop!

TEACHER SIGNING DAY! Educators Rising hosted their first teacher signing day this morning! Congratulations to Taryn Lentsch and Shelby Hohn who signed their Education Pledge. Taryn Lentsch will be attending Dakota State majoring in Elementary Education, and Shelby Hohn will be attending Southeast Technical College to study Early Childhood. We are so happy to see PHS graduates entering in the education field! Best of luck ladies!
