A HUGE shout out to to everybody who made the Distracted Driving Mock Accident at Parkston School happen on Tuesday, March 15! As part of a HOSA Community Awareness project by Chase Wickersham, Mya Wickersham, Chantal Wuertzer, and Allie Hobbick to educate the chapter on health-related careers, they joined forces with Ms. Ember Dale of Avera St. Benedict Health Center, in conjunction with a grant from Camp Med, to educate not only our members, but also all of our students and staff, as well as provide a training opportunity for our emergency service personnel in the community of Parkston. Special thanks to Ms. Ember Dale, Ms. Stacy Weber, Parkston Fire Department, Parkston Emergency Medical Services, Parkston Police Department, Mr. Tim Weidenbach, Ms. Hailee Hutchinson, Mr. Eric Norden, Mr. Jim Akre, Mr. Spencer Albrecht, Mr. Quinn Bormann, Mr. Tony Kinneberg and the PHS Media Club for making this possible. Your service to our school and community is one of the many reasons that the Parkston Community is a great place to live!

It's wilder than a rodeo; it's funnier than a circus! It's DONKEY BASKETBALL!!! A doubleheader donkey extravaganza will be at the Parkston Armory on April 12, 2022 at 7:00 PM. This event is presented to you by Parkston HOSA. Real, live donkeys specially selected for Donkey Basketball will be used to play two elimination games; a championship playoff game between the winning teams will determine this year's champion! Donkey rides will be given to children during intermission! This event is sponsored by Parkston-Kaylor Grain. Come one, come all to the craziest show Parkston has ever seen: Donkey Basketball! Advanced ticket sales will open this week; locations will be posted. We are currently looking for riders. Riders must be 16 years of age and weight less than 225 lbs (due to donkey limitations).
